WAVE on Wheels Community Outreach

WAVE on Wheels takes the incredible aquatic and scaley animals of Newport Aquarium to you! Programs are structured around your event size and welfare of the animals, so please read carefully when selecting a program to find the best option for your event. There is also an opportunity for your program to be completely or partially covered by Community Outreach Scholarship Funds. The application for these funds is included when scheduling an animal ambassador visit. Please contact Rachel Morgan via email or over the phone at (859) 815-1441 for guidance on scheduling a program.

Become a gator expert as we explore ways we can protect them. Discover the impact a species has on an ecosystem when they become absent. We will discuss their conservation success story and what can happen when people take decisive action to protect animals in need. Engage in one of two activities: Survival of the Fittest or Keystone Bridge. In Survival of the Fittest, we will discover the importance of genetic diversity over time. In Keystone Bridge, we discuss how quickly an ecosystem can fall apart with a missing piece, from the tiniest mosquito to the biggest gator.
