WAVE Foundation partners with Newport Aquarium to educate folks  the amazing aquatic wildlife and the science behind our aquatic world. Our professional educators and animal ambassadors make incredible memories by engaging children with riveting information and activities. WAVE programs expand access and increase the footprint of Newport Aquarium by bringing the ocean to folks like you.

Come join us for onsite programs in our jawsome new classroom space located at Newport on the Levee. Free parking in the garage for the first hour and totally free Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Make spring break and summer vacation memorable with Camp WAVE! Hosted at the WAVE Education Center at Newport on the Levee with daily trips to the Newport Aquarium to experience the biology of aquatic creatures first-hand.

There are so many opportunities for fun and learning at the WAVE Education Center for young children. WAVE offers two different reading programs with animal ambassadors, crafts, and a story that will engage and inspire kiddos to love nature.

In partnership with Atlantic White Shark Conservancy, Gills Club helps kids, especially girls, ages 8-13, build confidence in STEM. Gills connect with scientists actively working in STEM-related fields and facilitate ocean conservation!

Finstitute after-school program combines active conservation games with an animal encounter where kids learn about a conservation topic while getting their wiggles out. Plus, they get to meet an animal ambassador! NEW programs including games like penguin egg pass, bird beak relay, and more!

WAVE on Wheels brings the Aquarium to you! From meet & greets to assembly programs, we’ve got the experience best suited for your needs. Penguins, lizards, snakes, tidepool critters, and more! You may even qualify for a free program through the Community Outreach Scholarship Fund!
