Perfect for after-school wiggles and day camps! These programs are half animal-encounter and half-moving activities that center around a conservation theme. We are happy to accommodate up to 40 students at a time. Thank you to the Millstone Fund for supporting the growth of young environmental stewards of all ages!

Get ready because we’ll kick off with an exciting game: Invasives on the Loose!

Become a gator expert as we explore ways we can protect them. We will discuss their conservation success story and what can happen when people take decisive action to protect animals in need. We’ll discover the impact a species has on an ecosystem when they become absent and engage in one of two activities: Survival of the Fittest or Keystone Bridge. In Survival of the Fittest, we will discover the importance of genetic diversity over time. In Keystone Bridge, we discuss how quickly an ecosystem can fall apart with a missing piece, from the tiniest mosquito to the biggest gator.

Join us as we explore the exciting world of tide pools! In this engaging program, we will learn about how tide pools form, meet several tide pool animals, and discover a local equivalent in vernal pools. We’ll take a closer look at ways to protect these wild spaces starting in our own backyard. Make a splash and play the Tide Pool Hop Game!

Glide into discovery with WAVE Foundation as we discuss stingrays and their amazing adaptations. As a group, we’ll learn about camouflage, electroreception, and how stingrays move. We’ll also discuss the significant role stingrays play in their ecosystem and ways to help them. Get ready to transform into a stingray and scour the ocean floor for your next meal with Electroreception Relay!

Take a mega-bite of knowledge with WAVE as we discuss sharks: the apex predators of the ocean who cruise around the globe. In this action-packed program, we will identify why sharks are crucial members of our ecosystems. Together, we will dive into shark adaptations and break down misconceptions surrounding sharks. In the end, students will unleash their inner predator as they participate in the game Uh-Oh Shark.
